Curt Mangan 17009 round core pure nickel electric guitar strings are designed for players seeking a true vintage feel and response. Featuring a pure nickel wrap wire wound over a round, tin-plated high-carbon steel core, these strings deliver a warm, smooth tone with a softer attack and balanced output.

Round core construction is often favored by players who find these strings feel more flexible and responsive, with a clear, open tone and slightly reduced perceived tension compared to hex core strings. Installation Notes (Important):

• On tuning posts that require cutting the string before installation, make a 90-degree bend in the string before cutting.

• Make the bend approximately 2 inches past the tuning post, then cut about ½ inch beyond the bend.

• Insert the bent section into the post and tune to pitch.

• Round core strings take longer to settle and may require additional stretching during initial installation.
