Designed in collaboration with bassist and educator Ian Martin Allison, the MXR Bass Synth is a feature-rich synth pedal built specifically for bass guitar. It delivers a wide range of monophonic synth tones, combining sub-octave depth, dynamic envelope response, and modulation effects with reliable tracking and sustain.
The pedal offers flexible tone shaping through dedicated controls for filter cutoff, envelope, resonance, modulation, and blend, along with multiple oscillator waveforms and preset storage. An extended control set allows players to dial in everything from tight, percussive synth lines to wide, atmospheric textures, while maintaining clarity across the bass register.
With support for mono, wet/dry, and stereo output modes, expression pedal compatibility, and onboard presets, the Bass Synth is designed for modern bassists who want deep control and consistent performance in both live and studio environments.
