MXR® M222 Talk Box
The MXR M222 Talk Box is a self-contained talk box pedal that includes its own internal amplifier and speaker driver, eliminating the need for a separate amp or dedicated talk box rig. This design makes it far more practical for modern pedalboards and live performance setups.
Controls for Volume, Tone, and Gain allow players to shape the output using MXR’s onboard distortion circuit, making it easy to dial in everything from subtle vowel-like articulation to aggressive, cutting talk box tones. When engaged, the pedal routes your signal directly to the included talk box tube, allowing your mouth to shape the sound before it is captured by a microphone.
Designed with gigging in mind, the M222 features true bypass, a pedalboard-friendly enclosure, and enough output to be used for practice without a full PA system when needed. It is an ideal solution for players who want classic talk box effects in a reliable, all-in-one format.
