GHS Big Core Nickel Rockers™ Electric Guitar Strings are designed to provide a balanced feel, strong durability, and consistent performance across a wide range of playing styles. These strings are built using a larger core-to-wrap ratio on the wound strings, paired with a high-quality nickel wrap wire, resulting in a solid, controlled response and long-lasting playability.
The plain strings are also slightly increased in size to improve durability and help maintain consistent tension and feel. This construction approach supports stable tuning and reliable performance for both rhythm and lead playing.
Big Core Nickel Rockers were developed with input from René Martinez, a respected guitar technician and musician known for his work with major touring and recording artists, including Carlos Santana, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Prince, The Moody Blues, Clint Black, Eddie Brickell, and others. His experience informed the design focus on feel, balance, and endurance rather than gimmicks.
