Aquila Lava® ukulele strings are visually distinctive gray/black strings inspired by volcanic rock, a Hawaiian symbol of life. The Lava® series uses the same synthetic formulation and tonal characteristics as Aquila’s Super Nylgut® strings while offering a unique dark appearance.
The sandy-textured surface provides a slightly different feel compared with traditional smooth ukulele strings while maintaining the same mechanical stability, projection, and tonal balance associated with Super Nylgut®.
This 117U (AQ-L-BHG) set is designed for baritone ukulele with High-G tuning, creating a re-entrant setup similar to traditional soprano, concert, or tenor ukulele tuning but adapted for baritone instruments.
Compatibility: Designed for baritone ukulele only. Not suitable for soprano, concert, or tenor ukulele.
