Sunbeams are some of the best bass guitar strings on the market and our customers certainly agree!
Definitely a bass string with a loyal following, just ask anyone that uses them!

These bass strings are made from a nickel plated wire wrapped around a round core, producing a nice warm and bright sound.
They are great for both the traditional players and fretless bass players, giving that warmth and softness of nickel and more response to magnetic pickups because of the magnetic content of the wrap wire.

Give these Sunbeams a try and they're sure to brighten your day!

These are ball end bass stings with a scale length 37 3/4" and the short scale sets are 33 3/4".

Sunbeams are another step forward on a continuing path for players who constantly seek to upgrade their skills and tools to achieve musical satisfaction. Sunbeams are the next generation of nickel-plated bass strings as they are wound on round cores. Sunbeams are a step forward for the traditional player and the advanced exponent of fretless bass player, both of whom want brightness and warmth. Sunbeams feature the easily recognizable feel and flexibility of DR round core construction, with nickel warmth, softness of feel and increased response to magnetic pickups due to the sensitive magnetic content (compared to stainless steel) of the nickel plated wrap wire.

    Great alternative to EB short-scale

Posted by Nat on Nov 17th 2020

I've been a long-time fan of DR strings on full-scale basses, so the SNMR set for short-scale basses appealed to me from a brand-loyalty perspective. While I don't like the sound of sunbeams as much as I do fatbeams, the outside feel of these strings and the playability make these stand out compared to the "standard" EB slinky 45-105 short scale strings. The feel gives even looser fretting hand feel to a 30" scale. Definitely worth a try!
