These strings are constructed using nickel-plated steel wrap wire around a hex-shaped steel core, producing a bright, balanced tone with a familiar Slinky feel. The small ball end design ensures proper fit on instruments with guitar-style bridges or tailpieces, making this set unsuitable for basses that require traditional large bass ball ends.

With a 29 5/8" scale length and lighter overall gauges, this set is well suited for short-scale 6-string bass instruments where standard bass strings may not fit correctly.
