GHS Balanced Nickels are an excellent choice
I was not sure what to expect with these strings, so I had no preconceived notion about what I was expecting. If anything, because they state pure nickel that they would be dull sounding. That was not the case. I find that it is a good balance of tension, fairly smooth and a good representation of what my bass is producing. (not a accented low end or high end). I would buy these strings again although they are a bit more expensive than what I usually spend on strings.
