The original pressure wound stainless steel bass string designed in the mid-1970s. Similar to Rotosound's Swing Bass 66 strings but with a smoother feel.
Due to rolling, mass is retained and therefore its brightness. Rotosound's half wound Solo Bass 55 strings eliminate finger noise, reduce fret wear, work well on fretless basses and excel in the studio.
Rotosound Long Scale strings are:
32-34" scale length
37" ball-end to silk
A great set of stainless steel strings with nice punch.
Also these are perfect for anyone with nickel allergies. Try a set today!

Rotosound Solo Bass pressure wound strings
These strings do exactly what I was hoping for. They sound like round wounds, but feel kind of like flat wound. The feel wasn't so much as important as was the elimination of string scrape that flatwound strings provide. Of course you can't expect them to completely eliminate it, because they're not truly flatwound strings. They do however significantly reduce it compared to typical round wound strings providing a lot more forgiveness in your technique, and they still sound super bright and punchy just like I like. I'm glad I decided to give these strings a shot.
