I've been using Thomastik-Infeld strings for over ten years. I find them to be extremely comfortable to play and absolutely free of any sliding noise which allows the effect of sliding up and down or across the fretboard sonically rewarding. The tone is fantastic when new and does mellow out over time. The strings are not brittle and their playing life is long lasting.
