Gauges: .013 – .017 – .021w – .028 – .039 – .053
Thomastik-Infeld Jazz Swing JS113 strings are the heaviest standard set in the Jazz Swing lineup, designed for players who want maximum tension, depth, and tonal authority while retaining the refined feel Thomastik flatwounds are known for.
Built on a true round core, JS113 strings offer a smooth, supple response that remains noticeably more flexible than many traditional flatwound sets, even at heavier gauges. The highly polished pure nickel ribbon windings produce a warm, focused tone with strong fundamentals, excellent note separation, and a controlled, mellow top end well suited to traditional jazz and clean electric styles.
Like all Jazz Swing sets, JS113 features a wound third string, contributing to even tension and a consistent flatwound feel across the entire set. The added mass of this heavier gauge set provides enhanced stability, fuller low-end response, and a solid, anchored feel under the fingers.
Silk-wrapped ball ends help stabilize the windings and support long string life and reliable performance over extended playing time.
Why players choose JS113:
-
Heaviest Jazz Swing set for maximum control and stability
-
Warm, deep flatwound tone with strong fundamentals
-
Smooth, flexible feel thanks to round-core construction
-
Wound third string for balanced response across the set
JS113 is ideal for players who prefer a firm feel and the fullest Jazz Swing sound, with no compromise in refinement or playability.

TI Jazz Swing .013"
These are the gold standard. Want your Tele to sound like an L-5? They're better still on a good jazz box.

Instant Tone Upgrade
I put these on a new Epiphone Joe Pass Emperor-II PRO. It was an instant tone upgrade. These strings are worth every penny!

Great flatwound strings
These are my all round favorite jazz strings. People say that flatwound strings don't sound as good as roundwound, but I think that these sound good. Obviously they are less noisy and resistant when you slide up and down the neck. They are not as bright as roundwounds, but are not dull either.
