La Bella Low Tension Flats combine the classic tone and smooth feel of traditional flatwound bass strings with a lighter, more flexible feel. Based on the same techniques used for La Bella's Deep Talkin' Bass strings, these strings use round cores and a narrower ribbon wire to provide low tension without the excessively loose or floppy feel sometimes associated with light-tension flats.
Hand-wound and hand-polished, the LTF-4A-S set features stainless steel flat wound construction for a smooth playing surface and classic flatwound tone.

Important Scale Length Information:
This is the Short Scale version of La Bella's Low Tension Flats. The strings have approximately 32¼" of wound length from the ball end to the silk/taper.
Because bass construction and string-through-body designs can affect the required string length, measure your instrument's required ball-end-to-taper length before ordering. The silk/taper should reach the tuning-post area; La Bella specifies that only the silk portion should wrap around the tuning post.
